Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

Join team NAWIC Sisters again this year for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at Monroe Park!

Making Strides has always been more than just a walk, it’s a movement. We are making it easier for anyone, anywhere to make an impact. We know the future can be free from breast cancer. We’re asking you to join the movement and sign up to save lives.

The route takes us on West Franklin Street next to Monroe Park up to Monument Avenue turning around at North Davis Street headed back to Monroe Park!  Parking is available at VCU West Main Street Deck at 801 W Main Street and also at VCU Jefferson Street Deck located at 100 S Jefferson Street and we suggest entering one of those lots in your GPS to get to the best parking spots.  We do encourage you to carpool and if you need drop off to avoid road closures, we suggest using 711 W Main Street as your drop-off point.

9:00 AM - Event Festival Area opens

9:30 AM - Opening Remarks and Pre-walk warmup

10:00 AM - Walk Begins

1:00 PM - The Route is closed and Event is concluded

If anyone is willing to stay and help pack up it would be very much appreciated.

If anyone would like to find a place where we could all meet up for lunch afterwards that would be awesom

Question: WHERE DO I MEET UP WITH MY TEAM? Answer: Our Pinwheel Tent will be right beside registration.  Please check in and then come to our tent so we can all walk together.
